"I feel welcomed and at home here.
I am a strong and independent woman
and thanks to Made For A Woman
I can make my voice heard – that’s what happiness is"
Supporting women
United Nations statistics tell us that women make up 70% of the world’s poor: they own only 1% of the world’s land and two thirds of illiterate people are women.
However, the same statistics also show us that women tend to reinvest a lot more of what they make, however little, in their communities: 70% of their income is spent to support their families, whereas for men that percentage averages around 40%.
Supporting women, therefore, means supporting their families, their communities, and ultimately the development and resilience of their whole country, which is why we made that the focus of our social strategies.

Building connections
Our artisans are always at the forefront of our project, where they can make their voices heard by the customers and the industry alike, introducing them both to the people who are helping us weave the future of fashion.
All our labels include a QR code that features a portrait of the artisan who created each product and that links to her story: our goal is to build an online platform where clients are able to get in touch with the person who made their specific bag, to promote connection and communication between the “start” and “end” point of our production chain.
