To ensure the long-term sustainability and impact of our actions, we give back to our community and our territory through awareness campaigns and targeted corporate social responsibility actions.

Our community is seen as one of our key stakeholders: understanding its needs, addressing its specific issues and leveraging our resources to generate impactful and transformative change are key elements of our business model.

PARTNERSHIP

Building partnerships with local and international organizations is key to achieving our goals sustainably.

We currently work with several local NGOs, with the Malagasy Ministries of Health, Environment, Women Empowerment, and the Population on a wide range of projects to support and empower women and advance gender equality.

In 2023, we also signed the Women’s Empowerment Principles developed by UN Women, offering guidance on how to advance gender equality and women empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and communities.

We have also joined the NEST network, a nonprofit supporting the responsible growth and creative engagement of artisans, to further enhance and scale our growth and impact.

91 women are currently involved in our partnerships; our goal is to increase that total to 350 over the next 2 years.

REFORESTATION

Our commitment to community impact also involves protecting and preserving the environment we live in: in partnership with our raphia suppliers, and with the support of the local Ministry of the Environment, we participate in mass reforestation campaigns and plant thousands of trees per year to preserve the unique biodiversity of our country and offset our carbon footprint.

We also develop awareness-raising actions against deforestation: in 2023, thanks to a partnership with local organization SOA GreenArt, we planted over 130 fast-growing local plants, involving over 260 artisans and their families.
